The genuine ski-in options
There is no true ski-in ski-out hotel directly on Diamond Peak or Mt. Rose — the two Nevada-side ski areas. What you get instead are Incline Village properties five to fifteen minutes from Diamond Peak's base via free shuttle. The Hyatt Regency Incline Village is the closest fit: shuttle to Diamond Peak runs on demand, and the resort's ski-storage and boot-warming rooms are properly organised. Add in the lakefront and it's the strongest ski-adjacent play on the Nevada side.
Cross the state line and you’re spoiled: The Ritz-Carlton at Northstar, Everline Resort at Palisades Tahoe, and PlumpJack in Olympic Valley all deliver actual ski-in ski-out. From Reno airport, these California-side properties are 45-60 minutes; from Incline they’re 30-45 minutes. Many Nevada-based travellers cross the line rather than settle for shuttle-only access.
The shuttle-based reality on the Nevada side
Stateline hotels — Harveys, Harrah's, Hard Rock, Montbleu — sit 12 miles from Heavenly's Nevada base (Boulder Lodge) and run resort shuttles. Heavenly's California Lodge and gondola from downtown South Lake are the more common access points, both a quick drive from Stateline. If you’re a Heavenly skier, Stateline works well; you’re not slopeside but you’re steps from a lift-served network via shuttle or the gondola-adjacent parking lots.
The trade-off nobody advertises: ski-in ski-out doesn’t matter as much on Tahoe's Nevada side as it does at bigger destination resorts. Diamond Peak and Mt. Rose are small enough that parking-lot-to-lift is often under five minutes anyway. Renting a slopeside condo through Incline Village vacation rentals gets you closer to the snow than any hotel, at similar or lower cost during non-peak weeks.

Questions, answered
Is there any true ski-in ski-out hotel on the Nevada side of Tahoe?
No hotel property, no. Some private condos at Diamond Peak's base come close, rented via vacation-rental sites.
Which Nevada resort is best for beginners?
Diamond Peak. Smaller, cheaper lift tickets, forgiving terrain, and less crowded than Heavenly or Mt. Rose on weekends.
